Barbara Candella

Barbara M. Candella (nee Turnes), 78, of Streamwood died March 9, 2021. Barb was the beloved wife of Phil; loving mother of Philip (Pat), John (Marcia), Mike (April) and Barbara (Chris) Kaminski; proud grandmother of Rachel, Katherine, Sara, Christopher, Barbara and Joey; cherished great grandmother of Cecelia.

The most important thing to Barb was her family. She enjoyed camping, biking, reading water aerobics and gardening. Barb was a great cook and had an incredible sewing talent. She was very involved with her children as they were growing up, having been a scout leader. Barb was also involved with church and the community. She was always a welcoming and gracious host to everyone from family to neighborhood kids.

Memorial Mass Saturday, March 20, 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Church 502 S. Park Blvd. Streamwood. Visitation Saturday, 1:00pm - 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg. In lieu of flowers donations to Alexian Brothers Hospice 901 Martha Street, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 would be appreciated.
