Austreberta Avitia, 77 passed away on the 7th of January, 2015. She was surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 10, 1937, in Durango, Mexico.
Berta was a hard worker who enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling to Cancun, Mexico!

Devoted wife of Roberto Avitia, loving mother of Bob, Nancy, Carlos, Jorge, Pedro. Proud grandmother of Christopher, Alec, Ethan, Evan, Jorge, Isabella, Gabriela, Andrew, Alex, Roberto, Alejandra and Lily. Great-Grandmother of Camila.
She helped raise 4 nephews…Eduardo, Horacio, Adan and Claudio Garcia.

Berta was a vivacious woman who extended her kindness, good humor, and generosity to family, friends and strangers alike.
She was an example, of a strong courageous Christian woman, who shared her faith and love for Jesus Christ with others. Her house was open to everyone, she would welcome them and feed them.

Visitation Sunday, January 11th 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Lying in state Monday 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Vineyard Church, 220 E. Division St., Elgin. Burial Bartlett Cemetery.
