A Memorial Mass for Audrey Rakowski (nee Szyszka) of Schaumburg since 1993, formerly of Roselle for 30 years will be held Friday, May 22, 2026 at St. Walter Catholic Church 130 W. Pine St. Roselle. Mass 10:00a.m.
A voracious reader. Audrey enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and watching her “shows”.
Audrey was the beloved wife of 72 years to the late Harry Rakowski; loving mother of Ann (Stephen King) Melody, Susan (Patrick) Marino, Michael (Sarah) Rakowski, Mark (Tomajean) Rakowski, Matthew (Karen) Rakowski and Stephen (Christine) Rakowski; cherished grandmother of Kelsey (Kevin) Orsini, Brinn (Austin) Brooks, Joshua (Mary “Lisa”) Paton, Mallorie (Bryce Halliday) Marino, Zachary Marino, Jason Rakowski and Jacob Rakowski; dear great grandmother of Millie, June, Leni, Elena, Nathalia, Joshua Jr. and Anjelica; kind daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Szyska; kind sister of the late Donald, Jim, Arlene and proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.
