Arturo Gijapon Rusiana, 90, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Born October 24, 1931 in the Philippines. He was the son of †Patricio and †Priscilla (nee Gijapon) Rusiana. Arturo was the beloved husband of Lydia Filipinas Rusiana; Previously married to †Pacita V. Rusiana; Brother of †Antonio, †Josefa, Rosita, Clemencia, Emmanuel and Purisima; Survivors include Francis Constantine (Meda) Denisenko, Arturo, Jr. (Marilou), Jack (†Josefina), Teresa (Christopher) Bulger, Maribel (Frederick) Jimenez and Sonia (Tony) Blanco; Proud grandfather of several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arturo was a BSME graduate of the University of San Carlos and a founding member of the Engineering KM Tri E Fraternity at USC. He acquired an MS degree in Mathematics and became a lifelong educator. Arturo authored several books on Mathematics. He loved bowling and playing the cross-word puzzle.
Visitation Monday, June 6, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 9:15 a.m. procession to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Mass 10:00 a.m. Cremation will be private for the family following services at the Countryside Crematory.
