Arturo T. Palomo, 79, of Mission, TX, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on January 17, 1945 to Anastacio and Virginia Palomo(nee Tanguma). Arturo lived most of his life in the Chicago Suburbs. He attended Arlington Heights High School and worked a long career at Able Metal Hose in Addison, IL.
He worked tirelessly, well into his 70s, driven by a strong work ethic that stemmed from his deep desire to provide for his family. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on Chicago & Texas based teams. He also loved to visit the track to enjoy the thrill of Horse Racing. Above all, he was most passionate about his family.
Arturo was husband of 60 years to Delia(nee Campos); loving Dad to Raul (Klara) Palomo, Rob (Vicki) Palomo, Cris (Mike) Peterson, Minnie (Randy) Trett, Rey Palomo, and Linda Palomo; cherished Grandpa of 18 and Great Grandfather of 10; Fond brother to Avilio, Armando, Antonio, and Cruz; dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Anastacio & Virginia, and his daughter, Linda.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00AM- Mass at St. Mary Church 397 Fulton Street, Elgin with luncheon to follow. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory.
