Arthur Shaw

Arthur A. Shaw, of Schaumburg, Loving husband of the late Anna (nee: Wamser); dear father of Lorraine E. Shaw; fond brother of Ronald (Patricia) Shaw and the late Claire (the late Herbert) Wilson.
He enlisted at 17 into the Air Force, serving for 8 years. He was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife Anna. Here their daughter, Lorraine was born. When discharged, he worked for GTE for 25 years while attending IIT. He received his BA degree in electronic engineering.
In 1968, they moved to Schaumburg where they joined St. Peter Lutheran Church. There he did evangelism. His hobbies were building Clipper Ships and HO trains. When he retired, he and Anna traveled the entire USA and Canada in their motor home for the next 21 years.
Visitation Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 10:00am until time of service 12 noon at The Countryside Funeral Home, 333 South Roselle Rd. (½ Mile South of Irving Park Rd.), Roselle. Following services, cremation will be private at The Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society.
