A memorial service for Arthur G. Lindblad of Hanover Park will be held Sunday June 16, 2013 10:00a.m. until the time of service 12noon at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
Born May 15, 1933 in Chicago, Arthur died Thursday May 30, 2013.
A Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force, he is also a member of the Hanover Park and Streamwood Lions Club, Boy Scout leader for many years and UTI instructor for 20 years. Arthur was Stanislaus the Clown for 50 years, entertaining children for charity.
Arthur is the beloved husband of Maryann nee Kamaryt; loving father of Thomas E. (Wanda) Shumway, Caroline Lindblad Christensen, Raymond L. (Barbara) Shumway, Daniel B. (Cathy) Lindblad and Charles (Elizabeth) Shumway; cherished grandfather of Heather, Tom, Megan, Matthew, Alicia and Nicholas; proud great grandfather of Connor, Brandon, Trinity and Kodi; dear step brother of Pat Berthold, Gail Trumbull and the late Ron Thill.
