Dern of Bartlett; beloved husband of the late Jane (nee Schweder); loving father of Rick Dern, Tim (Helen), Cindy (Joe) Ignoffo and Tracy (Tom) Hansing; cherished grandfather of Sleeter, Kendra, Shade, Erika, Bryan, Natalie, Kyle, Joey, Jimmy, Alina, Vanessa and Brianna; proud great grandfather of Cameron, Trip, Adia, Leah and Avery; dear brother of Jack (Lenore).
A retired bus driver and an avid golfer.
Visitation Sunday, August 26th from 3:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service 6:00 p.m. at Evangel Church, 5700 Bartels Rd., Hanover Park, Il. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. Arrangements by Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, Bartlett.
