Anne M. Martinez (nee Steurer), 81, died Saturday, January 8, 2011. Born May 6, 1929 in Chicago. She was the daughter of Stefan (Leone) Steurer and Bertha nee Herbold (James) Cullen. Anne enjoyed dancing, music and being outdoors. She was an avid Blackhawks fan.
Survivors include children Sandra (Ken) Gresham, Valerie (Ed) Snyder, Richard J. Guertler, Kathleen (Steven) Hines, Edwin (Susan) Guertler III; grandchildren William, Cheryl, Kirk, Jason, Marie, Katherine, Matthew and Joseph; great-grandchildren Max, Alexandria, Gabrielle and Sophia Christine; brothers and sisters Stephen (Judy) Steurer, Collette (Allen) Wilde and Denise (Alan) Thornhill.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Christine, her parents, brothers and sisters Elizabeth Woolford, James E. Cullen Sr, Darlene Cullen, Ronald and Leanne Steurer and special pet friend Buster.
A memorial visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 from 3:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd, Bartlett. Cremation at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, Attn: Donations, 300 Rosewood Dr, Ste 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
