Anna (Massa) Campus, 96, of South Elgin passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Artis Memory Care of Bartlett.
Anna was born in Naples, Italy on April 22, 1926 to Raffaele Massa and Maria Andreozzi.
She met Joseph Campus during WWII while he was serving in the US Army in Naples, Italy. They were married in Naples on September 15, 1946.
Anna and her husband Joseph worked many years at the Elgin Mental Health Center. They retired together in 1991.
Anna was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S.; loving mother of Rosemary (Larry) Antosz, Sam (Mary Lou) Campus, Carmela Campus and JoAnna (Robert Sheneman) Campus; cherished grandmother of Joe (Vanessa) Campus, Beth (Brian) Burghgraef and Max Sheneman; proud great grandmother of Sophia, Dominic, Beau and Brooke; dear sister of Maria Rosaria Massa in Naples, Italy and the late Enrica, Raffaela and Vincenzo Massa.
A Celebration of Anna’s life for friends and family will be held Sunday, August 7th at 1.p.m. at Moretti’s, 1175 W Lake St, Bartlett, IL. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org or JourneyCare Hospice Hope Foundation 405 N. Lake Zurich Rd. Barrington, IL 60010 would be appreciated.
