Ann Pintozzi

December 31, 1969 — December 8, 2023

Ann Pintozzi (nee Matassa), 99, of Bartlett, passed away December 8, 2023. Born July 28, 1924, in Chicago. Ann received her nursing certificate from Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and went on to receive a post-grad certificate from Children’s Hospital in Washington, DC. She worked as a pediatric nurse for several years at a number of hospitals in Chicago. Ann also had a passion for music and sang in both church and community choirs, where she met her late husband, Joseph. Ann enjoyed sewing and baking, but her favorite “hobby” was being with people and learning about their stories. Her family and friends were always her priority, and they will miss her greatly. Loving mom of Lisa (the late Mark) Podraza; grandma of Anthony Podraza; stepmother of June (Dominic) Calabrese and Dolores (late Jerome) Lehner; dear daughter of the late Fred and Theresa (nee DeRose) Matassa. Visitation 9:30am until time of Mass 10:30am Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Chapel at The Oaks, 827 Carillon Dr, Bartlett. Interment St. Isidore Cemetery, Bloomingdale.
