Ann Rose Duggan

January 22, 1942 — August 16, 2025

Ann Rose Duggan, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on January 22, 1942 to Patrick and Edna Duggan, Ann was raised in Chicago, IL with her half sister, Catherine and four younger siblings, Patricia, Lourdes, Richard and Mariellen.

Not long after graduating from Siena High School, and while working at Brunswick Corporation, Ann met Marty Chiodo, got married, and started a family. They went on to have four children together. Ann’s greatest joy came from loving her children and spending time with her family.  The  legacy of love that she instilled in her four children has been passed on to her grandchildren and all who knew her.

In the next chapter of her life, Ann met and married Dennis Boyd. They built a life together in a lovely home in Algonquin, IL with their two cherished dogs, Kramer and Mikey.

Ann leaves behind her husband, Dennis Boyd, and her children: Dianna (Steven) Rodheim, Jon Chiodo, Tracy (William) Bartkowiak and Marc (Maribeth) Chiodo. Ann Rose was the proud Grannie of 19 grandchildren and a Great-Grannie of 8, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Included are: Michael Bartkowiak (Brittanna) with Stella and Mickey, Zachary Rodheim (Kelsey) with Rome, David Bartkowiak (Tori) with Jemma, Charley Chiodo (John Kerpan), Jake Chiodo (Victoria) with Isabella, Daniel Bartkowiak (Krystal) with Dean and Savannah, Kendall Rodheim, Sam Chiodo, Lauren Chenoweth (Brian), Celina Chiodo, Hannah Rodheim, Aubrie Rodheim, Connor Rodheim (Madison) with Sage, Nico Chiodo, AJ  Chiodo, Megan Chiodo, Mike Foust (Kelly) and Randi Foust (Sean Moody).

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alexa Rodheim Cutler; her parents, Patrick and Edna Duggan; her sisters, Catherine Duggan and Lourdes Herzog, and infant brother, Joseph, who passed away at birth.

Ann Rose will be remembered for her vibrant smile, her warm, compassionate heart, and her unwavering sense of family values.

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 434 W Park St. Arlington Hts, IL 60005.  Visitation will take place at Our Lady of the Wayside Gathering Place at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM in the church.
