Anita Tolentino

Anita C. Tolentino (nee del Carmen), 75, of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Elgin. Born April 23, 1946 in the Philippines and formerly a nurse at VA Hines Hospital, Anita was an excellent cook who enjoyed her college reunions and Las Vegas, but her greatest passion was always faith and family. Beloved wife of 52 years to Joseph “Bing”; loving mom of Joanne (Julio) Marin, Jay, Jamie, and Thelma; cherished Lola of Julian, Tahji, Juni, Chloe and Siren; caring daughter of the late Santiago and Joaquina (nee de Los Reyes) del Carmen; dearest Ate of Pablo (Amy), Ana, Dorie (Joey), Tino (Lisa), Paul (Eva), Leo (Josie), Ric (Annie) and the late Ellie (Gerry) and Julie (Danny), beloved cousin, Tita, Ninang, and friend to many.

Visitation 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), in Bartlett. Prayers 9:45 A.M. Monday going to St. Peter Damian, 10:30 A.M. Mass. Following service, cremation will be private at Countryside with interment at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
