On Monday, April 13th, 2020, Andrew S. Kurtz, loving son, brother and uncle passed away at the age of 54.
Andy was born in Danville, Indiana on September 1st, 1965. The first son of Ned and Judith Kurtz. Andy loved sports as a teen and was a high school varsity athlete.
He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in economics from Illinois State University in 1989. Andy’s professional career rose quickly. He was one of the youngest executives for a company that took him to San Francisco, CA. For the remainder of his career he was able to visit faraway places in Asia. He climbed the Sydney Harbor bridge while in Australia. He was blessed to see much of the world.
Andy loved to be around people, one of his greatest gifts. His friends and family were very important to him. He made everyone around him feel special. Andy was relatable, approachable, kind, funny and incredibly generous and giving on many levels. Andy loved to play golf and cook. We learned so much from him in many areas.
Andy is now reunited with his older sister, Karen and is survived by his parents, Ned and Judy, his older sister Kimberly Gomez (Keith) and his younger brother, Adam (Holly) and his nephews Brennan, Ian and Evan.
Private graveside services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL on Saturday, April 18th. We will all see you soon. Rest in eternal peace. God bless your soul.
