Amy S. Peebles, RN, MSN (nee Welp), 46, of South Elgin, passed away Thursday October 22. Amy was a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, IL and worked as a cardiac transplant nurse at Loyola Hospital for many years. Because of illness she retired from Adventist Hospital in Glendale Heights, IL where she worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator and in Staff Development. Amy was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Sigma Theta Tau. Beloved wife of John W.; loving mother of Molly Claire and the late Ryan Gorcowski; dear daughter of Ellen(nee Schaller) and the late John Welp; fond sister of Jeffrey(Kathy) and Douglas Welp; proud aunt of Jacob and Emma Welp and many nieces and nephews; dear granddaughter of the late John and Elizabeth Welp and Clarence and Mildred Schaller; fond step granddaughter of Wanda Schaller. Visitation Sunday November 1 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at St. Thomas More Church 215 Thomas More Dr., Elgin and Monday from 10:00am until time of Mass 11:00am. Entombment All Saints.
