Amber Lynn Richards

Amber L. Richards (nee Ankele), 80, of Hoffman Estates, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 24, 2026. A devout animal lover and Cardinal birdwatcher, Amber enjoyed crafting, gardening, and ceramics. She also enjoyed shopping, especially at Kohls when there was a good sale. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Richards; loving mother of Dr. Amy (Don) Miller, Laura (Karl) Miller, Chrissy (Jeffrey) Hofstetter, and step mother of Debbie Ecklund and Dan (Amber) Richards; proud grandmother of Brandon and Zach Miller, Andrew and Alex Miller, Noah, Chase, and Cole Hofstetter, and step grandmother of Nicole and Brianna; dear sister of the late Bruce Ankele; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; former wife of the late John Henning. Visitation Friday, January 30 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett.
