Alyssa Ludovice

Alyssa Nichole Ludovice, age 16, died on September 4, 2012 in Lakewood, Illinois. She was born December 15, 1995 in Hoffman Estates, the daughter of Cherri Towry Ludovice and the late Christopher J. Ludovice.
Alyssa was just beginning her Junior year at Elgin High School where she was very active in the Music Department as a member of the Mellodears and Concert Choirs. She was also a part of the Elgin High School Marching Band as a member of the color guard. She had a lovely singing voice and had participated in school musicals and talent shows since middle school. She was a gifted artist and craftsperson and was proficient in archery, origami and creative writing.
She is survived by her mother, Cherri Towry Ludovice, and sister, Rachel of Elgin; grandparents , Wade and Connie Towry of Buffalo Grove, Ron and Angie Books of Elgin and Joan Ludovice of Hoffman Estates; greatgrandmother, Katherine Tillman of Elgin. Uncles and aunts: Jeff (Cindy) Ludovice of Hebron, Indiana; Richard Towry of Hoffman Estates; Carla (John) Giuccione, Arlington Heights, Abraham Betancourth of California; Danielle (Ocilel) Haro of Arlington Heights, Mark (Jenny) Books of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Jon (Vicky) Books of Sycamore, IL.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald J. Ludovice, her aunt, Lisa Kirk-Cordes and joined in death by her adoring Dad, Christopher J. Ludovice.
A time of visiting with family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service following on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Baptist Church at 16N562 Vista Lane, East Dundee, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ludovice Memorial Fund at ChrisAndAlyssa.org.
