The visitation for Alvin V. Collins, 79, will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday August 19, 2009 at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Burial will be private in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Born November 10, 1929, in Chicago, he passed away Saturday August 15, 2009, at home.
Mr. Collins retired from Continental Field Machining.
He was the loving father of Debbie Sherman, Richard Diehl, Brent ( Cathy ) Collins and Brian Collins; cherished grandfather of Jason ( Darcy ), Nicole, Kevin, Adam, Steven, Daniel and Branden; fond great grandfather of Kaden; and dear brother of Len ( Dawn ) Hermer
