Alice Levine

Alice E. Levine (nee Schalk), 73, of Elgin, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Born May 25, 1949 in Chicago. Alice was an avid White Sox fan and was even known to go on White Sox road trips with her friends in “The Grinders”. She enjoyed the beach but what she was always most passionate about was her family, especially her grandkids. Beloved wife of the late Barry; loving mom of Stacy (Steven) Potter, Sarah and Jason; cherished grandma of Madeline, Aubrey, Hannah and Benjamin; caring daughter of the late Kurt Schalk and Doris Sills and kind sister of Janet (Skip) Sands. Visitation 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Following service cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to White Sox Charities, www.whitesoxcharities.org or to the ASPCA, www.aspca.org would be appreciated.
