Abraham Kershaw

Abraham M. "Abe" Kershaw, 90, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, January 9. The last to operate Kershaw Farm in Elgin, Abe was a 50 year member of Elgin Moose Lodge #799, a 25 year member of the Key West Fishing Club, and 39 year employee of VanDer Molen Disposal/BFI. Having polio at age 23, Abe lived a full life. Beloved husband of 58 years of Carol(nee Simmons); loving father of Georgianne Kershaw, Charlene Kershaw Kaufman, Sara(Tony) Cabalu, Dawn(Al) Utz, and Dan and David(Marla) Rasmussen; proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; dear brother of the late George and the late John; cherished friend of Sal and the Hernandez family. Visitation Saturday, January 13 from 11:00am until time of service 2:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd.(at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett. Interment Little Woods Cemetery.
