Joseph “Joe” Paul Balija, 90, died Monday, June 18, 2012. Born December 26, 1921 in Chicago. He was the son of Joseph and Darinka (nee Zorich). A veteran of WWII, Joe enjoyed traveling, especially with his late wife Anne. Survivors include son Terry (Lynda), grandchildren Debee, Douglas, Christopher and Lisa; great-grandchildren Aurielle, Payton, Quincey, Justin, Morgan and David and sister-in-law Gloria. He was preceded in death by his wife Anne (nee Orth), son David and brother Edward. Visitation Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 8:45a.m. going to St. Isidore Church, 9:30a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Bartlett Veterans Memorial Foundation, P.O.
